Following the welcomed increase in payment rates for all capital items included within the Countryside Stewardship schemes back in January, the RPA have now announced that for 2023 there will be no limits on the value of capital items included within an application.

Capital items within Higher/Mid-tier agreements and capital only grants are grouped within four categories, with each category previously
having a £20,000 funding limit. This limit has been scrapped, allowing for more flexibility when creating an application.

Alongside a longer scheme duration, new items and broader eligibility rules, the Countryside Stewardship Capital Grant Scheme is now proving to be a rewarding way of maintaining your holdings.
